The KS028 is a breakout board for the Lite-On LTR-381RGB-WA RGB colour and ambient light sensor. It includes 4 white illumination LEDs for active colour measurement under varying ambient conditions, and communicates over I2C with programmable 16–20 bit resolution across red, green, blue, and infrared photodiodes.

An interrupt output pin supports threshold-based triggering, allowing the host MCU to sleep until a lighting event occurs — useful for battery-powered or low-power designs.

Typical applications: colour detection and sorting, ambient light monitoring, display backlight control, industrial inspection systems.
